Motor Coach HVAC Service & Support
KOOL F/X is focused on providing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning(HVAC) service to customers in the motor coach industry. However, we do provide HVAC service to customers with motorcoach conversions that have HVAC service needs. Our HVAC specialists are factory trained to service motor coaches from all of the top manufacturers. Technicians are licensed by the province of British Columbia, and Environment Canada as well as the United States Environmental Protection Agency to safely handle refrigerants used in today’s modern HVAC systems.
Our Senior HVAC Specialist has been factory trained by Vanhool, Setra, and Prevost within the last 5 years, and is qualified to service newer integrated multiplex systems which ordinary refrigeration companies might not be familiar with.
We work with our customers to develop routine, scheduled maintenance programs for HVAC systems in their coaches, designed to coincide with other regularly scheduled maintenance. By performing scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems while other routine service is being performed, the amount of time the coach spends in the shop is minimized-and the liklihood of HVAC problems during peak season is minimized.
Our service philosophy is to follow manufacturer recommendations and maintain factory original configurations. We do not re-engineer or “Macgyver” your bus using duct tape, hydraulic hoses, custom welded mounts or $2 toggle switches which are all guaranteed to fail more quickly than a proper repair job. This sometimes costs more initially, but in the longrun saves you thousands of dollars in repeat repair costs and lost revenue while the coach is being serviced.
Developing regular maintenance cycles for motor coach HVAC systems instead of waiting for them to fail in the middle of summer when they are needed most, saves our customers thousands of dollars of lost revenue each year due to downtime during peak tourist season. We have helped customers on tight budgets stagger repairs and maintenance on coaches so the cost is spread over a few months.
Educating our customers drivers about how to properly use the HVAC system is also paramount to preventing problems, and reducing downtime. Understanding these unique systems and their limitations helps keep them running smoothly.
